FAQs About Moving In?

When should I contact the office before moving into my storage unit?

You should reach out to us before 6 pm, Monday through Friday, when the offices close. This ensures you have everything you need to move in without delays.

What should I expect when I arrive at my new storage unit?

Your new space may have a combo lock or zip tie to keep it secure until you get there. Be sure to bring scissors or check your messages for the lock code. This step is part of our 12-step checklist we complete for every unit before marking it ready to rent, ensuring it stays in great condition for you.

FAQs About Unit Sizes?

Why is choosing the right storage unit size important?

Because when it comes to self storage, one size doesn’t fit all. Whether you’re downsizing, relocating, or simply trying to create a clutter-free environment, understanding storage unit sizes helps you optimize your storage experience.

What can I fit in a small storage unit (5x10)?

Small units (5×10) are perfect for a few boxes, seasonal items, or small furniture pieces. They’re ideal if you’re decluttering a closet, freeing up office space, or storing items from an apartment or dorm room for the summer. Many students prefer this option.

What are medium storage units (10x10 or 10x15) best for?

Medium units are like having an extra room for your belongings. They can fit the contents of a studio apartment or a small office, including furniture, equipment, storage totes, and boxes.

Who should consider a large storage unit?

Large units are great for those transitioning between homes or storing the contents of a two-bedroom apartment. They’re also useful for businesses storing inventory or equipment. These units offer space for multiple pieces of furniture and large items, with enough room to move around and access your things easily.

What if I choose the wrong size storage unit?

No worries! If you find you need a different size, we can transfer you to another unit hassle-free. Our knowledgeable team is always available to guide you in making the right choice.

FAQs About Moving Out & Payment?

How much notice do I need to give before moving out?

Please let us know at least 7 days before you plan to move out—the earlier, the better. All rentals are month-to-month, and rent is not prorated, so you have until the last day of the month (or your lease period) to move out.

What should I do once I’ve vacated my unit?

After vacating, ensure your unit is completely empty and take a photo of the unit (including the unit number or an adjacent unit number) as proof. Units with items left inside may be subject to a cleaning fee.

How can I make rental payments?

We accept credit or debit payments through our online portal or over the phone. As of December 2022, we no longer accept paper payments such as checks or cash. All payments must be made via debit, credit, or e-check. Contact us if you have any questions about payments.
